Fortress is presenting our 5-Day Ultimate Training Package, September 20-24, 2023, at the St. Joseph County Conservation Club in Sturgis, Michigan.

Sept 20/21 = 20-hour Level I Handgun w/night shoot
Sept 22 = 8-hour Emergency Treatment of Gunshot Wounds
Sept 23/24 = 20-hour Level I Rifle w/night shoot

In 5-day students will learn what we consider the minimum defensive skill sets every free American should possess!

These 5 days will be somewhat physically demanding – no, we don’t run our students like military recruits, but you will be on your feet and moving around a large portion of the time. If you have physical disabilities or stamina issues, contact us for advisement.

List price for all three classes is $1100. We’re offering this complete package for $975

What you will need:

Level I Pistol

– Modern, reliable, functioning handgun, with a proper holster (Holster must be specifically for your make and model. Nylon/one-size-fits-all holsters are not allowed. Holster must be worn on your belt, either inside or outside the waistband. Shoulder, ankle, cross draw, and small of back holsters are NOT allowed in this class. Neither is “off body” carry.) Contact us with holster questions.
– Long pants with proper belt loops (Jeans or “tactical”-style pants like 5.11 brand)
– A proper belt which can hold up the weight of your holstered pistol.
– At least one carrier for your spare magazine or speedloader.
– At least THREE spare magazine (for auto-loading pistols), or TWO spare speed loaders (for revolvers.) Multiple spares are highly recommended (5, or more.)
– 500 rounds of ammunition.
– A handheld [“tactical”] flashlight, preferably with a tail cap activation button.
– Eye protection with side protection.
– Hearing protection (full coverage or foam ear plugs – bring both if you have it)
– A hat with a brim ( like a baseball cap)
– Sturdy footwear. (gym shoes are fine. Hiking-style boots are recommended.) NO open-toe footwear!
– A cover garment, like a vest, jacket, suit coat, or button-up shirt. We draw from concealment in this class.
– Note taking materials.
– A folding/lawn chair.
– Your lunch, snacks and beverages. We will not be leaving the range for lunch or dinner Saturday, or lunch on Sunday.
– Anything else you need to survive both days.

We have rental guns and holsters available – contact us with questions.

Emergency Treatment of Gunshot Wounds

– Pistol with at least one spare magazine. Proper belt holster for your make and model, along with magazine carrier.
– Brimmed hat, ear protection, safety glasses.
– 150 rounds of ammunition.
– Pocket knife/folding blade.
– Flashlight
– Old pair of pants or a shirt you can rip up.
– Pen/pencil, note taking materials.
– Folding chair.
– What you need to eat and drink for the entire day.

Level I Rifle

– Modern, reliable, functioning handgun, with a proper holster (Holster must be specifically for your make and model. Nylon/one-size-fits-all holsters are not allowed. Holster must be worn on your belt, either inside or outside the waistband. Shoulder, ankle, cross draw, and small of back holsters are NOT allowed in this class. Neither is “off body” carry.)

– Modern, auto-loading battle rifle. e.g. AR15, AK47, .30-Carbine, FAL, SCAR, Mini-14, M1A, etc…
– At least 4 spare magazines for your rifle.
– Your rifle MUST have a sling. Single point, or two point, are recommended.
– Your rifle MUST have iron sights. “Red Dot” or holographic sights are fine, but back-up iron sights are mandatory.  Optics with magnification are NOT recommended.
– Flashlight. Rifle mounted is not required, but highly recommended.
– 500 rounds of rifle ammunition.
– Sight adjusting tool.
– Note taking materials.
– A folding/lawn chair.
– Your lunch, snacks and beverages. We will not be leaving the range for lunch either day, or dinner Saturday evening.
– Anything else you need to survive both days.
