Hoffner Hand Hawk

Master knife maker Brian Hoffner was present at the annual NRA show this past weekend and I secured a copy of his long awaited Hoffner Hand Hawk. Since he first announced the concept 2 years ago he has been refining the design, unwilling to go into production until the final product met his high standards [...]

Equipment Recommendations

We are often asked for our recommendations on carry gear and accessories - below is a current list of what we consider serviceable for serious purposes, as of 4/19/19 We make nothing from any of these brands, nor do we “endorse” products. Our opinions can, and do change, on a regular basis, and what we [...]

We're often asked what oil should be used to lubricate guns. Our response: "Oil." I use whatever is around. But, I clean my firearms after every range session. Benchmade

Recently, Benchmade knife company made the mistake of posting picture to their Facebook page depicting their assistance to the Oregon City, PD, in the destruction of firearms. I was contemplating a blog post about it, but then I read the words of Instructor, Matt DeVito. He summed it up quite well, and anything I would [...]
